Memo produced 26.09.2018 Representation from the Department of Infrastructure (DOI) Highways Division- PA Ref 18/00884/C Planning Case Officer = Mr Jason Singleton Applicant Mr Robert Currey Agent - Dave Luton Design Site Address Mill House Old Castletown Road Santon Isle Of Man IM4 1EX Highway Services Comment made Do not oppose with condition/comment Highways Representation history for this case. DNOC on 25-9-18 Conditions (if any) The application states that the proposals would not change the existing site access and parking arrangements. The parking standards in 'The Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016' require 2 car parking spaces for a dwelling, and based on the plans submitted it is considered that a total of 4 spaces are required on the site, 2 for each dwelling. The block plan shows that it would be possible for 4 cars to park and turn around within the site, without the parking for one dwelling obstructing or blocking the parking for the other dwelling. The site access and parking provision is therefore considered to be adequate for both dwellings and should be secured via a planning condition. Highway Services does not oppose the application subject to a planning condition for the parking and turning area shown on the block plan to be permanently maintained and made available for parking and turning use only for both dwellings on the site. Reason: to ensure adequate site parking is provided to serve both dwellings to comply with the parking standards in 'The Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016'. Highways Officer MB
