Hi, so this application is for my partners property where I spend around 70% of the week.
I understand the standard regulations to the size of a driveway, however I do have a few points that I hope will sway your decision in our favour.
The parking around there is difficult with cars parked on double yellows AND in our case inside the turning circle which is also double yellows.
Numerous neighbours have changed their garden into a driveway without altering the height of the curb but we wanted to go down the correct route of applying for planning and making it official.
In addition to this, you state the footpath may be slightly blocked by the front of the car. But seeing as there is no through footpath at the end of the road, the use of the footpath is very minimal. In fact, I don't think I have seen anyone walk past the front of the property on the footpath. The end of this road is used only as a turning circle and for cars to park outside the house they are going into.
I hope you take these points into consideration and grant us the planning we need.
