The comment stated;
We extend our congratulations to the applicant in wishing to replace the incongruous window frames with sliding sash windows and to replace the infamous 'Kentucky' doors, so indicative of the 1970's.
The proposed replacements are however not the correct type. The problem occurs with manufacturers' naming of products. 'Cottage Door' must be suitable for cottages - in chocolate box pictures of thatched cottages in the Cotswold may be but not every cottage.
The correct type of door should be either a six panel or four panel solid door, depending on the date of the property.
Doors with peek-a-boo glazed panels are not the correct doors for this property.
