Dear/Sir Maddam
I would like to give my comments on application 18/00514/B - Ballakeigh Farm, West Kimmeragh Rd, Bride.
The 3 good quality, large mature Sycamore that have been marked for removal on the site plan are trees of average to good health and are suited to their current driveway/farmyard setting. The trees remote location means they provide very little landscape value to the public.
We would have no objection to the removal of these trees, however we would like to see some replanting to mitigate the loss of trees to maintain tree cover in the area in the long term and mitigate the impact to wildlife.
No detail of replanting numbers/species were provided in the supporting documents. We would like to see Manx native trees being planted to help broaden the species diversity.
Kind Regards
Charles Harrison
