Conditions (if any)
The proposal is to alter and improve the entrance and
reception area to the in-patient unit. The new entrance
would improve ambulance access by allowing
ambulances to stop directly outside to drop-off and pick-
up patients. A marked out pedestrian zone would also be
created to provide better and safer pedestrian access to
the building.
The loss of car parking spaces in the vicinity of the
existing entrance required to facilitate the development
would be provided elsewhere on the site. The
accompanying 18/00222/B planning application proposes
additional parking on the site so there would be an
increase in the total site parking provision and no overall
reduction as a result of the changes to the entrance in
the current application. On this basis, there should be no
new highway issues arising from the proposals.
Highway Services does not oppose the application.
