Requires parking and manoeuvring accommodated on-site for industrial development to avoid highway issues. Proposal tested against this due to non-industrial use generating customer traffic; accepted with conditions ensuring parking demand fits available spaces.
Transport Policy 7
Requires parking per Department standards. Industrial standards cited (1 per 50 sqm general industrial); proposal's limited scale and controls met this without overflow parking.
Business Policy 5

Reason: To safeguard the amenities of occupiers of adjoining buildings and to maintain the vitality and viability of Castletown Town Centre and other major town centres in the south of the Island.
Appointment only
Dog grooming may take place only on a pre-arranged appointment basis. Reason: To ensure that the demand for car parking is managed such that there is no adverse impact on highway safety in the vicinity.

Use restriction
The site may only be used for the purposes of dog grooming, associated retail sales subject to condition 2 above, and storage, all in the manner shown in drawing 3B and where the storage is associated with the persons undertaking the dog grooming business.
