REASONS FOR REFUSAL Application No. 88/1831
1 The proposed development as shown in the submitted application would constitute sporadic development on a conspicuous site unrelated to an existing village and ribbon development along a classified highway and would thereby be detrimental to the amenities of a primarily agricultural area and an area of high landscape value and scenic significance;
2 Insufficient evidence has been advanced as to any agricultural need for the proposed dwelling.
3 The proposed development, if approved, would establish an undesirable precedent for other similar developments.
4 The proposed development is contrary to the policies of the Department's Development Plan.
NOTE: This refusal is without prejudice to a further application in accordance with Circular 3/88; a copy of which is enclosed. N.W.
