Planning Status
Within the adopted Isle of Man Strategic Plan, the following policy is considered to be relevant to the assessment and determination of this application: General Policy 6
Assessment
The application is seeking express consent to display two non-illuminated fascia signs. The application site is not located within a Conservation Area. The proposed advertisement is relatively modest in scale and would not adversely affect the visual amenities of the street scene.
It is recommended that express consent to display the advertisement be granted subject to conditions.
Party Status
The local authority are, by virtue of The Control of Advertisement Regulations 2005, paragraph 9 (5) (c), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status.
The Highways Division is part of the Department of Infrastructure of which the planning authority is part of. As such, the Highways Division cannot be afforded party status in this instance.

C 2. This consent relates to the display of two non-illuminated fascia signs as shown in drawing numbers 11043-160, 11043/460 date and location plan stamped 20th May 2011.
