From the Planning List 7 April 2023 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’ and re- consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:

The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:
· 23/00328/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. · 23/00333/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. · 23/00339/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. The Applicant is advised that to consider installing cycle parking storage to aid Active Travel objectives in lieu of loss of on-site provision on the ground floor and given the control of on- street car parking, including a disc zone that is oversubscribed. · 23/00361/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. · 23/00391/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking on Planning being satisfied over the retention of one on-site parking space on the loss of the existing garage. The garage is understood to be little used for car parking since it undersized by current dimensions. There is some on-street space available. Usually, it would be unacceptable to transfer parking onto the public road as mitigation for the loss of on-site parking. The purpose of a public road being for access and passage. Notwithstanding, in this circumstance, this situation may be retaining a status quo arrangement which would not give rise to an objection. Additionally, it is noted that the Applicant is to provide alternative storage for cycle parking. An electric vehicle charging point should be considered to meet net zero objectives. The Applicant is advised that Highway Licences may be necessary for any equipment and materials to be placed within the highway for the duration of the proposed works. · 23/00403/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. · 23/00404/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. The Applicant is advised that to consider installing cycle parking storage and an electric vehicle charging point to aid Active Travel and net zero objectives. · 23/00410/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. The Applicant is advised that Highway Licences may be necessary for any equipment and materials to be placed within the highway for the duration of the proposed works. · 23/00422/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking. The Applicant is advised to considered installing an electric vehicle charging point to aid net zero objectives. Additionally, that Murrays Lake Drive is an unadopted street and permission for the drop kerb should be obtained from the owner who is not the DOI. Works should be undertaken by a suitably qualified contractor to the appropriate specification, including the protection of underground services and any street drainage. The driveway should be formed of consolidated and bound materials with surface water run-off must be contained within the curtilage of the dwelling. · 23/00425/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and /or parking.
