The widening of the access allows the extension of the hardstanding to accommodate additional car parking, allowing at least two more cars to be parked off-street and freeing the turning area of its stated purpose. The provision of a vehicle to vehicle exit visibility splay is unnecessary given the position at the end of the road. Surface water should drain into the highway. A s109(A) Highway Agreement is necessary to provide a connection to the public road covering inspection of works given the existing surfacing.

As drawn the proposal raises no significant road safety or highway efficiency issues, improving the public turning facility. Accordingly, Highway Services raises opposition no subject to conditions for access and the hardstanding to accord with the submitted drawings with an advisory for a S109(A) Highway Agreement.
