The Commissioners wish to submit their views on the following planning applications:

18/00463/C Change of use of land from agricultural use to part of domestic curtilage, Kerrowdhoo, Glen Duff, Lezayre - **Approved Unanimous** - Although the Commissioners have approved this application they wish to state that the new extended garden area should be blocked for any future development of residential properties potentially creating a hamlet of homes and increasing the number of vehicles accessing on a brow of hill on to a busy road at Glen Duff.

18/00475/C Change of use of storage area above garage to provide living accommodation (retrospective) and tourist living accommodation, The Rule, Main Road, Sulby - **Refused 4 -1 Majority** The original approval for the garage was granted under 99/02114/B, with condition 2 on the approval stating "the building must be used for storage purposes only; no approval is granted to the use of the building as living accommodation". The applicant is the same owner from 1999, when permission was granted for the garage. They knew this condition existed and should not have converted the storage above the garage to accommodation, without first seeking permission. They have created further residential accommodation in the countryside by default. This application also seeks use of the accommodation for tourist. We would like to point out that The Rule is currently advertised for sale and we believe stating the garage accommodation as tourist accommodation.

18/00512/B Re construction of existing access lane, Access Lane Off Sulby Straight, Sulby Straight, Sulby - **Approved Unanimous** - the Commissioners would like to point out that this access lane crosses the railway line (PROW) and services also exist in the immediate area.
