## Representation from the Department of Infrastructure (DOI) Highways Division–

Highway Services Comment made

Do not oppose

Highways Representation history for this case.

DNO on 16-3-18

Conditions (if any)

: The proposal is to widen the existing garage door at a dwelling. The garage is situated directly adjacent to the public footway as there is no driveway in front of it. The garage door would be widened from approximately 2.1m to 2.5m which should make it easier for cars to manoeuvre in and out of the garage and would therefore be beneficial. In addition, the Manual for Manx Roads document specifies a minimum garage door width of 2.4m which the proposed widened door would comply with. There is an existing vehicular crossing with dropped kerbs in front of the garage door which should not need to be widened by 0.4m as a result of the proposal. Highway Services does not oppose this application.
