### Ref: Proposed Installation of Domestic Lift and Alteration to form new Folding Patio Doors, Cronk E Chule, Wheel Hill, Laxey, IM4 7NL

### Design Statement

Cronk E Chule is a 1970's built detached bungalow dwelling with a part-basement room to the south east corner.

The application is to create improved accessibility to the basement section of the dwelling and adjacent exterior patio by way of a domestic lift from the main bungalow area.

The creation of patio doors will provide improved accessibility and amenity. The proposal would allow the owner to maximise his use of the area.

The owner is retired and understands his requirement for improved accessibility generally.
The style and finish of the patio doors would match the material and anthracite colour of the existing windows and doors.
