18th January 2021 Dear Sir/Madam TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 – Planning List 15/01/21 TOWN & COUNTRY (DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURE) (NO 2) ORDER 2013 Following consideration of the planning applications listed directly below, I can advise that Douglas Borough Council has no objections.

It should be noted that the comments are made in relation to the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not imply approval or consent under any other relevant enactment, byelaw, order or regulation.

20/01433/B - Erection of light industrial, storage or distribution unit. White Hoe Industrial Units White Hoe Industrial Estate Old Castletown Road Douglas Isle Of Man

Prior to providing our comments on the following applications, the Council would like to request that a period of additional time be granted to allow the Council to give full consideration to these applications at a forthcoming meeting of the Council’s Environmental Services Committee. With regards to PA 20/01538/B the Council would like to gauge the consensus of the residents living in close proximity to the site and given this is a Conservation Area we also believe that the Registered Buildings Administrator should make comment on the application. As soon as this additional information has been provided the Council will be in a better position to pass comment on the application.

With regard to PA 20/01545/B we will contact the planning officer directly but would still request a further period of time is allowed for additional information to be provided which will allow the Council’s Environmental Services Committee to give the application due consideration when it next meets.

The final application I would like to draw your attention to is PA 20/01081/B. There has already been an amount of feedback given by those in close proximity to the development site and the Council would also like a period of additional time on this application in order for it to be considered properly at Committee level.

I’m sure you will appreciate that our ability to visit some of the below sites has been impacted by the Government’s lockdown restrictions and until such time that these have been lifted we would very much appreciate a time extension to provide comments on the 3 below applications.
