The Minister, the Hon P A Gawne MHK, has considered the report, concurs with the appointed person's conclusions, and accepts the recommendation that the appeal should be dismissed. Accordingly, he has directed that the Planning Authority's **Refusal** of the application under Article 6 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No 2) Order 2013 should be confirmed. In pursuance of his powers under the above Act and Order, the Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon P A Gawne MHK, does hereby in the name of and on behalf of the Department **REFUSE** planning application 14/00713/B by Port St Mary & District Allotment Society for Erection of shed/greenhouses on individual plots on allotment site, Sand Field (formally Field 1540), Mount Gawne Road, Port St Mary, Isle of Man, for the following reason(s):

1. The proposal is contrary to Environment Policy 1, Environment Policy 15, Environment Policy 17 and General Policy 2(g) as defined by the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 in that the proposal, by reason of its scale, siting and form, would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the area, would unacceptably affect residential amenity and would be in conflict with the Strategic Plan's aim of protecting the countryside for its own sake.
