# Arboricultural Statement

Mr & Mrs Mylchreest Blackrock Barn Kerrowgarrow Road

Greeba IM4 3LQ 11th January 2026

## Dear Sirs Arboricultural Statement - PA 22/00305/B

Following planning approval given for our property Blackrock Barn (PA 22/00305/B) and prior to the commencement of development, please find our statement in relation to our intended plan for protecting the existing trees during construction, in order to meet the conditions set out in the planning approval.

In accordance with guidance set out in BS5837:2012, please be advised that it is our intention to erect standard 2 metre/6 foot Heras fencing, secured appropriately, at a minimum of 7 metres from the closest group of elm trees to establish a construction exclusion zone (“CEZ”) for the duration of the project. The fencing will be situated along the existing concrete pad, commencing at the end of the raised flower bed and then at an angle of 60% across the lawn to maintain this minimum, please refer to the attached plan for reference.

Access to the construction site will be via the existing concrete pads on either the north or south facing elevation of the property, again please refer to the attached plan.

In addition, during the course of the construction, materials will be delivered, stored or placed on these concrete pads or within the site of the construction compound itself. Any mixing of cement or use of other contaminating materials or substances will be carried out on one of the concrete pads or within the site of the construction compound to avoid any contamination of surrounding areas. Any unused materials or substances left over during the course of construction will be disposed of in an appropriate manner at a facility off site. Once the CEZ is established, there will be no access required within it by construction contractors. The integrity of the CEZ will be monitored and enforced by ourselves (living onsite) and the site foreman during the project.

We look forward to hearing from you in due course. Kind regards

Richard & Samantha Mylchreest
