The site is designated on the Anoka Local Plan (adapted in 2000) as mixed use office, retail and residential. Permission has been granted in the post for retail and office developments in the 1990s and more lately for a hotel (PAS 90/1179 and 011751). The latter of the applications proposed 73 bedrooms with 4th parking spaces. The site is designated on the Onchon Local Plan (adapted in 2000) as mixed use office, retail and residential. Permission has been granted in the past for retail and office developments in the 1990s and more lately for a hotel (RAs 09/1179 and 01/1751). The latter of the applications proposed 73 bedrooms with 46 parking spaces.
