### Town and Country Planning Act 1999

### The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No 2) Order 2013

In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure determined to REFUSE a planning application by Mr Alex \& Mrs Jane Holt, Ref 13/91006/C, for the change of use of land from agricultural to residential garden at land to the rear of 1 Knock Rushen Scarlett Road Castletown Isle of Man for the following reason:

1. The proposed development would result in an unwarranted intrusion into the countryside resulting in loss of agricultural land and having a negative impact on the character of the area. The proposal would be contrary to General Policy 3 and without any exceptional circumstances could lead to more applications for similar extensions alongside.

Date of Issue:
16th October 2013
