## Memorandum TO: Secretary to the Planning Committee FROM: Miss Sarah Corlett, Planning Officer REF: PA 03/1030 - extension of existing car park, erection of lighting columns, relocation of front boundary wall, footpath and bus layby, car park at Braddan School, Braddan Road, Braddan DATE: May, 2005 ### Consideration At Review The above application was approved initially and a review was requested by the Braddan Parish Commissioners. The review was deferred at the request of the Commissioners to try to resolve their concerns regarding the arrival and parking of the school buses. This has now been resolved as the buses have been re-routed to avoid congestion at this point and the Commissioners have no outstanding objections in respect of this application. The majority of the works which are proposed have already been undertaken on the basis that some did not require planning permission as they did not constitute development. Also, the Department of Transport wished for the improvements to be undertaken in the school holidays before the children went back to school for the new term last year. The access was formed, the car park widened and the railings and wall erected and the car park has been fully functional since last September with the new layout working much better than previously and with no tail backs or traffic jams at peak times.
