The dwelling 1 Orry Place, Douglas, is part of a pair of two storey semi-detached properties, which are located on the northern side of Orry Place, east of the junction with Peveril Street.

#### Land Use Zoning

The property has been zoned under the Douglas Local Plan order as being within a predominately residential use; the site is not within a Conservation Area.

#### Proposal

The application proposes the installation of UPVC casement windows to front and side elevation to replace existing and installation of a UPVC front door to replace existing.

#### Representations

We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.

### Assessment / recommendation

The proposal would not have a adverse visual impact to the detriment of the dwelling or to the appearance of the street scene. For this reasons the proposal would seem appropriate in this location and therefore my recommendation is for an approval. I consider that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status: Douglas Corporation
