Dear Sir/Madam

**ISLE OF MAN PLANNING SCHEME (DEVELOPMENT PLAN) ORDER 1982 08/02096/B – Erection of extension, to rear elevation, 84 Bucks Road, Douglas, Isle of Man. IM1 3AG**

Douglas Corporation acts as the agent for the Department of Transport, under the Sewerage Act 1999 writes to advise that it **has no objection in principle** to the above application subject to the following:-

#### Drainage Layout

The surface water from the new extension must be separate, accessible and join at the curtilage boundary into the existing combined drainage system. Details of the drainage layout have been included in the above planning application and do comply with Department of Transport Drainage Division requirements.

Note: The applicant/applicant contractor is required to contact the Douglas Corporation Drainage Department prior to work commencing on site to discuss this proposed connection

It should be noted that it is an offence under Manx legislation to permit the discharge of polluting or harmful matter to any public sewers or watercourses. Appropriate measures must be taken by the developer/occupier of the premises to ensure compliance with the legislation.

In the event that this application is approved I should be grateful if these comments could be incorporated in the approval notice.
