The site accommodates the dwelling, a small garage and larger garage which has recently been permitted along with another access and driveway. Defined in blue is a wider area of land which is owned by the applicant but is not part of the domestic curtilage. #### Planning Status The site lies within an area designated on the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982 as "white land", that is, not designated for development. #### Planning History Planning permission has been sought for the following developments: - PA 96/0281 - approval in principle for extension to dwelling - approved on review and an appeal lodged - PA 97/0400 - alterations to dwelling including erection of conservatory, porch and flagpole, new driveway and extension to garage - permitted on review - PA 98/1699 - erection of two conservatories - permitted and - PA 06/1215 - erection of garage to replace existing - permitted 10 September 2008 08/01465/R Page 1 of 3 PA 07/1383 - erection of a garage - permitted. THE PROPOSAL Proposed now is the completion of the access driveway and access approved under PA 97/0400. This is slightly different than as shown in the 07 application in terms of the line of the access and the form of the gates (the 07 application did not show a pedestrian gate). The 97 application required that the works were completed within 4 years. The garage and other elements of the earlier applications have been completed. REPRESENTATIONS There are no representations on the file. ASSESSMENT The works proposed have already been permitted and shown in a similar form in subsequent applications which have been permitted. There have been no changes in policy since the driveway was approved and there will be no adverse impact from the proposed works. PARTY STATUS The Department of Transport and the local authority are, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status.
