# Advertisement Consent Notice

## The Town And Country Planning Act 1999 The Control Of Advertisements Regulations 2005

In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Regulations the Department of Local Government and the Environment has given EXPRESS CONSENT to CWS Retail Financial Services for the placement, erection and/or display of adverts in accordance with the planning application and drawings submitted by or on behalf of the applicant and approved on the 21st May 2008.

In compliance with the requirements specified hereunder and generally in accordance with the requirements of the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005, the proposal now given consent is for;

### Installation of illuminated signage.

The site for positioning the advert is;

### Co-Op Food Store 29 - 31 Main Road Onchan Isle Of Man IM3 1AP

The conditions for such placement are;

1. This approval relates to the signage alterations as proposed in the submitted documents and drawings PLMNR-1, and 00520/1 and /2 all received on 13th March 2008.
2. a) The development hereby permitted shall be commenced before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
b) Any advertisements displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a clean and tidy condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.
c) Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a safe condition.
d) Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the removal shall be carried out to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.
e) No advertisement is to be displayed without permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission.
f) No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of any traffic sign, railway or tramway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or so as to render hazardous the use of any highway, railway, tramway, harbour or aerodrome.

This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

### Guidance Note

This permission refers only to that required under the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005.

The proposed advert may not be erected or displayed until either;

- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;

Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
