# Assistant Conservation Officer Report

## ASSISTANT CONSERVATION OFFICER'S SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

The properties in question are located to the rear of peel Street in Ramsey which is within the Ramsey Conservation Area. The proposed works have been considered in conjunction with the recommendations as outlined in Policy CA/2 in relation to Planning considerations and future developments within a Conservation Area in addition to Planning Circular 1/98. The preference of the Conservation Section being to retain/maintain the architectural character of the area. It is noted however, that the windows in question consist of a mixture of original timber sliding sashes as well as later casement windows, both in wood and uPVC. Given their location and the fact that the rear of these properties are not readily overlooked by members of the public, it is my considered opinion to recommend approval for the proposed window replacements. ~~A~~ 13/6/8 OK
