The application site represents the curtilage of the detached single storey dwelling "Fir Wood", Foxdale Road, St Johns. The property is set back from the road and is set within substantial gardens.

### Planning Status

The application site is located within an area identified as being Residential Use by the St Johns Local Plan. The site is not within a Conservation Area.

### Planning History

There are no previous planning applications considered relevant in the assessment and determination of this application.

### Representations

The Department of Transport Highways Division has not commented on this application. Patrick Commissioners request that this application be deferred for their consideration until 20th April 2008. The Commissioners have indicated that they have no comment on this application.

## The Proposal

This application seeks approval for window and door alterations to the property. Specifically the proposal includes the installation of double doors in place of a window on the rear (west) and side (east) elevations and minor alterations to the windows of an existing porch on the north side elevation.

### Assessment

The proposed alterations are considered to be minor and would not impact adversely upon the amenity of neighbouring properties. As such it is considered that this proposal is acceptable and is according recommended for approval.
