The application site represents the curtilage of the property "Karibou", 2 Cannan Avenue Kirk Michael, a bungalow located in the northern corner of the estate.

#### Planning Status

The application site is located within an area identified as being "Predominantly Residential Use" by the Kirk Michael Local Plan. The site is not within the Kirk Michael Conservation Area.

#### Planning History

There are no previous planning applications considered relevant in the assessment and determination of this application.

#### Representations

Michael Commissioners indicate no objection to this application. The Department of Transport Highways Division does not oppose this application. We have received no privately written representations in relation to this planning application.

## The Proposal

This application seeks retrospective planning approval for a pair of gates erected at the entrance to the driveway of the property. These are metal inward opening gates with a height of approximately 1.2 metres.

## Assessment

The gates are considered to be an unobjectionable addition to the site, not dissimilar to others in the vicinity and as such it is recommended that this application be approved.

## Recommendation

It is recommended that the application be approved.
