## Conversion Of Stables Into Clergy House, Main Road,

### Ballabeg For The Vicar And Wardens.

The present stable building is in excellent structural order, having the benefit of perfectly plumb walls and a very satisfactory roof. Doors remain, although windows no longer exist. Surrounding the stone stables are a number of dilapidated galvanized and timber out buildings.

The proposal is to completely refurbish the existing stone built stables, providing a front porch and a rear dining area and kitchen. Roughly on the footprints of the buildings that presently exist.

The extensions will be built in natural stone and pointed and will reflect the natural pointed stone to the barn, which will remain.

To comply with today's building regulations, the slate roof will be re-roofed using the existing slate, windows will be timber, painted white and sliding sash, and doors similarly finished.

In consultation with the Planning Officer and Department of Transport, the existing gates onto the highway will be sealed up with natural stone and a new entrance driveway constructed and finished with gravel, crossing a short distance over the glebe field to a new entrance providing the necessary visibility delays since the present openings are in a dangerous location.

The dwelling is to provide a comfortable house for clergy and affords a separate entrance into the clergy study with disabled facilities on the ground floor.
