In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby **APPROVE** the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 25th January 2008, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

### Schedule Of Conditions:

1. This permission relates to the extension of the quarry and subsequent restoration as shown and described in drawings 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 7.1, 7.2 and 8.1 and the Planning and Environmental Statement, all received on 26th October, 2007.

2. The proposed excavation works must cease no later than works have been completed on the construction of the airport runway extension promontory approved under PA 06/1572 or any subsequent modification thereto.

3. Once excavation is completed in accordance with condition 2 above, restoration must be undertaken, restoring the site to its former appearance in accordance with the permission granted under PA 04/1434 albeit extended into the area now approved for excavation.

4. In accordance with condition 3 above, prior to the commencement of any restoration, the northwest corner of the site must be re-graded to a smooth profile and sown with a grass mix suitable to calcareous down. Within three months of the commencement of excavation works hereby approved, the applicant must have approved by the Planning Authority a scheme for the restoration of the newly excavated area.

5. The Manx Museum and National Trust must be informed of the date when building work is to commence and be given access at all reasonable times, and reasonable opportunity to inspect the site, observe all excavations and investigate any archaeological features exposed.

This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
