In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the application made by you

Proposal: Approval in principle for erection of a light industrial building at:

which was considered on 20 October 2000, for the reasons set out in the attached schedule.

## Reasons For Refusal

Application Ref No: 00/00963/A

1. The proposed development would constitute a piecemeal approach to the development of the larger area which is zoned for industrial use, and would thus prejudice the proper overall layout and use of this area.

2. In any case, the proposed building would appear exposed in the landscape and unrelated to other built development, and would thus affect adversely the appearance of this attractive area at the southern entrance to Peel.

3. NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
