In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby **REFUSE** the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 24th August 2007, for the **reasons** set out below.

### Reasons For Refusal:

1. The site is zoned for Low Density Housing in Parkland, and has been developed for high-quality, low-density housing in accordance with that zoning; the development now proposed would impinge upon what is, in this context, a site of relatively modest proportions, adding additional clutter within part of the site which ought to be given over to open landscaping; the development would thus be contrary to the Department’s Policies as set out in Planning Circular 8/89, and would affect adversely the appearance and character of the area.

This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

Whichever is the later.
