### Officer's Report

#### The Site

The site represents the curtilage of the Haldane Fisher (IOM) Ltd, Isle of Man Business Park, Braddan.

#### Planning Status

The site is located within the parish of Braddan and is identified as being within an area that includes 'Industrial Use' amongst other uses by the Braddan Parish District Local Plan 1991.

#### Planning History

Whilst the application site has been the subject of previous planning applications it is considered that none of these are specifically material to the assessment of this current planning application.

#### The Proposal

Proposed is the alteration of the existing customer/staff car park to provide an additional seven spaces. The existing car park is to be altered by increasing the area by approximately 2 m to the

south providing 17 parallel spaces, (there are currently 15 in this area). A further 5 spaces will be provided alongside and horizontal to the main building bringing the total number of spaces to 22.

### Representations

### Assessment

This application is considered to be relatively minor in terms of impact. The Department of Transport Highways Division has not raised any concerns in relation to road safety. The proposal would not appear to create any negative issues in terms of visual amenity or loss of amenity in general to the existing building or the surrounding area, as such it is recommended that this application is permitted.
