The extension proposed, whilst single storey would be located within the corner of the site and not readily visible from either the road leading to Peel or St Johns. The Society for the Preservation of the Manx Countryside and Environment comment that flat roofs on two storey building should not be encouraged, which in general is a supported principle, however in this application, given its location, the proposal is considered to be acceptable. The Department of Transport Highways Division advise of no objection and Patrick Parish Commissioners offer no comment. The Department of Transport Drainage Division advise of no objection subject to condition. The Department of Transport Drainage and Highways Division and Patrick Commissioners are accorded Interested Party Status in accordance with the provisions of Planning Circular 1/06.
