I am applying to affix to the roof at the front of my Annexed Holiday cottage a 30 tube solfex evacuated tube solar hot water heating system to heat domestic hot water. This will help to supplement my hot water heating and reduce my costs and carbon emissions.

The Panel has a length of 1700mm Width 2260mm Height 157mm from the roof profile and a weight of 54kg. It is supported on a stainless steel frame orientated to face South. It will not be higher than the existing cottage ridge and will not be visible from the road.

The roof has been inspected and has the integrity and strength for the evacuated tube system and the structure is guaranteed to survive the winds experienced in this area. The system is not obtrusive has no moving parts and generates no noise.

Specifications follow

The Solfex range of evacuated tube & flat plate collectors are manufactured and tested to the highest international standards. Our manufacturing plant operates to ISO9001: 2000 and the 1800 / 58 mm Solfex range of solar collectors have been independently tested and certified to EN 12975. The complete range of evacuated tubes that we sell are based and manufactured on this model.

The Solfex range of solar collectors operate by solar radiation, quite simply, energy from the sun's radiation converted into domestic hot water, free hot water from free energy! It really is that simple.
