Dear Miss Callow, **07/00366/C. Additional use of dwelling as tourist accommodation. Glen Cottage, Glen Maye. IM5 3BE.** The applicant proposes operating Glen Cottage, Glen Maye as a self catering tourist accommodation unit.

The applicant is aware of Registration and 1 – 5 Star Quality rating standards under the Self Catering Accommodation criteria having had a full on – site advisory visit. I have recommended that contact is made with both Fire Safety and Health and Safety Departments for advice.

The layout of the property comprises combined lounge / dining room, separate kitchen and upstairs 1 large Double bedroom and bathroom. The cottage accommodates 2 persons is centrally heated, double glazed and has been furnished to a very high standard to meet the visitor expectations.

Externally there is a paved secluded patio at the rear and parking will be at the front of the cottage on the main road.

The accommodation is ideally located for visitors with an interest in outdoor activities and not to far from the local attractions and amenities in the West of the Island.

The proposal is in sympathy with Registration and Grading policy to encourage the development of quality self catering tourist accommodation.

In conclusion the Registration and Grading Commission fully supports the above planning application.
