Our ref: KAK/AJC 17th April 2007. Dear Sir/Madam,

ON APPEAL: PA06/01432 – The Friends of Malew Church and Malew Burial Ground Authority – Erection of an extension to rear of church, Lych Gate and churchyard store, Malew Church, Great Meadow, Malew

I refer to the recent appeal hearing in respect of the above planning application.

In accordance with the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, I am enclosing herewith a copy of the report of the person appointed to hear this appeal.

The Minister has considered the report, concurs with the appointed person’s conclusions, and accepts the recommendation that the appeal should be dismissed. Accordingly, he has directed that the approval of the application under Article 6 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005 should be confirmed subject to the revised conditions referred to in paragraph 22 of the report. Formal notice of approval is attached to this letter.

### The Town And Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005

In pursuance of his powers under the above Act and Order, the **MINISTER** for Local Government and the Environment, following report by the appointed person, does hereby **APPROVE** the application by The Friends of Malew Church and Malew Burial Ground Authority – Erection of an extension to rear of church, Lych Gate and churchyard store, Malew Church, Great Meadow, Malew, subject to compliance with the following conditions:-

1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

2. This permission relates to the extension of the Church, the erection of a Lych Gate and Churchyard Store, all as shown in drawings reference 35/01/01 to -05 inclusive, all received on the 22nd August 2006.

3. All stonework and roofing materials to be used in the new structures must be such as to match the existing materials of the nearest building. Within the Lych Gate, no concrete block shall remain exposed on any exterior or interior face of the building.

4. No development shall take place until the details of the glazing of the proposed office, and the exposed timber and lighting for the Lych Gate have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Planning Authority, and the development shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details.
