In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Regulations the Department of Local Government and the Environment has given **EXPRESS CONSENT** to **NFU Mutual** for the placement, erection and/or display of adverts in accordance with the planning application and drawings submitted by or on behalf of the applicant and approved on the 5 October 2006.

In compliance with the requirements specified hereunder and generally in accordance with the requirements of the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005, the proposal now given consent is for;

#### Erection of advertising signage and directional sign post.

The site for positioning the advert is;

#### Agriculture House Cronkbourne Douglas Isle Of Man IM4 4QE

The conditions for such placement are;

1. The development hereby permitted shall be commenced before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

2. Any advertisements displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a clean and tidy condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.

3. Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a safe condition.

4. Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the removal shall be carried out to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.

5. No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission.

6. No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of any traffic sign, railway or tramway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or so as to render hazardous the use of any highway, railway, tramway, harbour or aerodrome.

7) This approval relates to the plans and information submitted as part of this application and date stamped 17th July 2006.

**NOTE** The applicant is advised that there are Underground Cables/Overhead Lines present in the area indicated in the planning application. Please contact Anthony Kinrade or Ian Horsey, Operations and Maintenance Department, Network Services, Manx Electricity Authority, (Tel.

687705) to discuss working practices around Cables and Overhead Lines which may be required to be diverted before any work can be carried out on site.

The applicant is also advised to contact the M.E.A. for Electrical Site Safety 5 documents, (Tel. 687766), before any work is carried out on site. All work to be carried out with reference to Health and Safety Executive Guidance Notes HS(G)47 and GS6.

The proposed advert may not be erected or displayed until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;

Whichever is the later.

Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
