#### Site

The dwelling 39 Peel Road, Douglas, is part of a row of three storey terraced properties, located on the southern side of Hildesley Road.

#### Land Use Zoning

The property has been zoned under the Douglas Local Plan order as being within a predominately residential use; the site is not within a Conservation Area.

#### Proposal

The application proposes the installation of uPVC sliding sash windows, front door and surround, to replace existing on front elevation.

#### Representations

Douglas Corporation - No Objection

We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.

## Assessment / recommendation

The existing windows are timber sliding sash windows. The site is not within a Conservation Area and therefore the proposal to install uPVC sliding sash windows and a uPVC door to the front elevation would be acceptable.

For these reasons the proposal would seem appropriate in this location and therefore my recommendation is for an approval. I consider that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status: Douglas Corporation
