In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby **APPROVE** the following application made on behalf of:

**Name:** Mr Tony Elder
**Proposal:** Alterations and extension to dwelling to form additional living accommodation
**at:**
The Elms
Main Road
Glen Vine
Isle Of Man
IM4 4AZ

which was considered on 6 September 2006, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

**Date of Issue:** 8 September, 2006
**Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas**
*Secretary Planning Committee*

### Schedule Of Conditions:

1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

2. This approval relates to the plans and information submitted as part of this application and date stamped 16th June 2006.

3. The external finishes of the extension must match those of the existing building in all respects.

4. There must be NO discharge of surface water (directly or indirectly) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the

requirements of the Department of Transport Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999.

It is noted that the surface water from the property is to be discharged via a soakaway. The use of soakaways are subject to Building Control approval and if this approval is not granted, the Drainage Division would not give permission for the discharge of surface water into the existing foul system and an alternative means of disposal would have to be sought.

This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005

This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.

Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

A form and guidance notes are available from either the Planning Office, Tel 685950, or to down load from the Department’s website www.gov.im/dlge/planning/plan

You should note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision being made, along with any correspondence relative to the application, is available for inspection at the Department.

The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;

Whichever is the later.
