### Assessment / Recommendation

I have considered the content of the application with particular consideration to Policy RB/5 Alterations and Extensions to a Registered Building as set out in Planning Policy Statement 1/01.

The applicant seeks to widen the existing opening from the Utility Area into the Kitchen which will involve removal of one of the doors. This door will be re-fixed to replace the existing and inappropriate sliding door from the Utility Area into the Breakfast Room at the rear of the house.

I consider that the alterations are relatively minor and that the replacement of the clearly inappropriate sliding door with the more appropriate door is an enhancement to the property.

I therefore Recommend Approved.
