Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meetings on the 21st March and 3rd April 2006.

### PA06 00269 - Ms J Jordan - Erection of a Conservatory on front elevation - Ballanawin, Braddan

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that there is no material planning reason to object to the principle of the application as submitted, however as it related to the detail of the proposed development then there is a material reason as to why the application should not be approved, this being the fact that the proposed development is in front of the existing building line which would have a detrimental impact on the streetscape when viewed from the highway and also establish a precedent for further similar developments to occur elsewhere within the development.

### PA06 00329 - Mr Mark Cubbon Kelly - Widening of Access to a property in Ashlar Drive, Union Mills

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

### PA06 00336 - Dandara Commercial Ltd - Alterations to approved Industrial Units to create carpet/flooring warehouse - IoM Business Park

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

### PA06 00353 - IoM Agricultural Marketing Society - Change of use of surplus office accommodation to general office accommodation - Agriculture House

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the there was no material planning reason to object to the principle of the application subject to a "Note" being included that would advise the applicant that by an approval for the change of use to the existing surplus office accommodation this would not mean that any further applications for change of use to general office accommodation would be supported.

### PA06 00360 - M R Formby - Conversion of existing lower ground floor car port to additional living accommodation and installation of two additional windows on side elevation - Ballaquine House

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00363 - Brent Mealin - Erection of two Advertising Signs - Entrance to Snugborough Trading Estate

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the there is a material planning reason to object to the principle and detail of the application as submitted on the grounds that there is already existing adequate signage identifying the name of the Estate and directing members of the public to the specific location of each of the traders within the Estate.

That the proposed signage would have a detrimental visual impact when viewed from the adjacent Highway and would establish a precedent for further applications from traders within the Estate which if approved would significantly increase the number of signs that would then be visible from the Highway and increase the detrimental visual impact.

## PA06 00385 - B&B Furniture Ltd - Erection of three Advertising Signs - Entrance to Snugborough Trading Estate

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the there is a material planning reason to object to the principle and detail of the application as submitted on the grounds that there is already existing adequate signage identifying the name of the Estate and directing members of the public to the specific location of each of the traders within the Estate.

That the proposed signage would have a detrimental visual impact when viewed from the adjacent Highway and would establish a precedent for further applications from traders within the Estate which if approved, would significantly increase the number of signs that would be visible from the Highway, and increase the detrimental visual impact.

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00413/412 - BPC - Replacement of Front Doors - Cronkbourne Village

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00423 - Manx Telecom Ltd - Installation of combined heat and power unit - Isle of Man Business Park

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00458 - Kirby Farms Ltd - Continuation of tipping inert materials and regarding of fields - Area of land forming part of Kirby Farm - Clerk's Planning Advice 23rd March 2006

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00465 - IoM Creameries - Erection of a Cheese Maturation/Chill Store Unit

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the application be approved.

## PA06 00469 - David White (Cars) Ltd - Erection of hoarding advertising - business - entrance to Snugborough Trading Estate

The Commissioners would recommend to the Planning Committee that the there is a material planning reason to object to the principle and detail of the application as submitted on the grounds that there is already existing adequate signage identifying the name of the Estate and directing

members of the public to the specific location of each of the traders within the Estate.
