## Department Of Local Government And The Environment ### Memorandum **TO:** Director of Planning and Building Control **FROM:** Miss Sarah Corlett, Planning Officer **REF:** PA 05/92191 – approval in principle for the erection of 190 bedroom hotel and casino (amendment to PA 05/0464), site bounded by Victoria Street, Lord Street and Walpole Avenue, Douglas **DATE:** 24th December, 2007 ### Extension Of Time The above application was permitted by the Planning Committee on 30th March, 2006 subject to a number of conditions and a note. The permission expires on 30th March, 2008. There were no objections to the proposal. The applicant now requests an extension of time of a further year in order that the detailed design and associated discussions may be properly undertaken. The scheme is a large one and the details of the development alone, without the associated discussions regarding the servicing of the development will take some time. There have been no changes in circumstances since the approval was granted. As such I would recommend that a further extension of another year be permitted in this case.
