The site represents the curtilage of an existing dwelling located on the northern edge of Ballakneale Close to the north of Bay View Road at the northern end of Port Erin.

The site lies within an area designated on the Port Erin Plan as Residential, backing onto the Golf Course.

Proposed here is the installation of a new pair of patio doors in the rear elevation in place of an existing window and the installation of a door in the side (eastern) elevation.

Port Erin Commissioners indicate that they have no objection to the application.

PA 03/01440 - alterations and extensions - permitted in respect of those changes to the front, refused for those at the rear.

PA 04/0049 - Extension to front and rear of dwelling and conversion of loft to living accommodation including extension of roof space over garage and installation of roof lights - permitted.

These latest changes have only a limited impact on the dwelling and do not adversely affect the amenities of the neighbouring properties.
