The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing dwelling situated on the northern side of The Promenade in Castletown outwith the Conservation Area.

Proposed here is the installation of rooflights and a flat roofed dormer on the rear elevation, a new set of French doors in place of two windows in the rear elevation, the replacement of a flat roofed dormer in the front elevation with a pitched roof one, the replacement of the left hand window on the front elevation with a wider window matching the aperture on the right hand side but with better fenestration and the re-roofing of the property using natural slates.

The alterations do not significantly change the appearance of the property but make slight improvements to which there are no objections.
