The application proposes the installation of uPVC sliding sash windows to the front elevation and casement to the rear, to replace the existing at 14-15 Mount Havelock, Douglas, which is part of a row of terraced properties on a corner plot, which is not in a Conservation Area.

The existing windows are uPVC sliding sash windows and the rear windows are a mixture of sliding sash and casement windows. The proposed replacements will be like for like and will therefore look the same as existing.

The Douglas Corporation and Department of Transport have considered the application and have no objection. We have received no private representations for this application.

The proposals would seem appropriate in these locations and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
