# Officer Planning Report Recommendation

## Planning Report And Recommendations [Table omitted in markdown export] [Table omitted in markdown export] [Table omitted in markdown export] ### Considerations ### Written Representations ### Consultations ### Policy

### Officer's Report

The application is for the erection of a lean to extension to 9 Heywood Close, Onchan, which is part of a pair of semi-detached properties in a cul-de-sac.

The proposal will have a width of 2.305 meters and a length of 7.8 metres. The extension will leave a 0.2 metre gap to the boundary. The boundary treatment consists of a 1.8 metre wooden fence on a dwarf wall. The extension will form a utility room, toilet and a store.

Onchan District Commissioners have recommended that the application be approved. There are no objections.

The extension will be approximately 8.5 metres to the rear elevations of dwellings 6 & 7 Heywood Drive. As the proposal is a single storey extension, I do not believe that it will cause any overbearing affect on these properties.

The proposal would seem appropriate in this location and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
