# SPMCTE Views on Applications

SPMC&E VIEWS ON APPLICATIONS from WEEKLY LIST 233 List dated 16/06/05 Date of this response 17/06/05 The application specifies frames that "look-alike" but what exactly does this mean? Will they open the same way? In other words, will they be sliding sashes, even though PVC? If they are, then we have no objections but this is a sizeable house of some prescience and worthy of some care. [Table omitted in markdown export] Excellent – we support the restoration and hope it will start a trend for more? [Table omitted in markdown export]

In a rather built-up and urbanised area but not clear on the N.E.Sector Plan whether this area is zoned 'Res' or not. If it is, we can raise no objections.

As part of the overall scheme, we see no objection to this conversion/restoration but prefer that the existing stonework (on at least the one good elevation illustrated) remains NOT rendered. This would accord with Policy both in terms of Circular 3/89 Para 4(a) and also with the emerging Strategic Plan.
