In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby **REFUSE** the following application made on behalf of:

### Reasons For Refusal:

1. By reason that the proposal extends in a two-storey form and the existing dwelling is altered the proposed development is contrary to the conclusion of and subsequent condition attached to the previous planning approval (02/00986/A) which specifically stipulated that the renovated building must reinstate the general form and appearance of the building as it presently exists together with a single-storey lean to annex onto the side elevation.

2. Notwithstanding the first reason for refusal the proposed extension is considered to be an unsympathetic means of extension that is out of keeping with the character of the existing building.

3. This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.

- any appeal has been completed.
