In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby **REFUSE** the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 21 July 2005, for the **reasons** set out below.

### Reasons For Refusal:

1. The creation and subsequent use of the proposed function room would cause an unacceptable and adverse impact on the amenity of the neighbouring properties. In particular the limited amount of on site car parking would result in the area in front of the neighbouring properties being in routine use for car parking at unsocial hours, which would cause an unacceptable level of disturbance and detrimentally impact on the occupant’s enjoyment of those properties. Furthermore, the Planning Committee are concerned that an unacceptable level of noise and general disturbance may be created by the creation and use of the function room.

2. This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
