In pursuance of their powers under the above Acts and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the application made by you

Approval in principle to erection of two bungalows, Land adjoining Glen Rushen Road, Patrick which was considered at a meeting held on the 1st November, 1989, for the reasons set out on the attached schedule, numbered 1 to 4. Date of Issue: 10th November, 1989.

The proposed development would constitute sporadic development unrelated to an existing village and would also be highly detrimental to the amenities of an area of high landscape value and scenic significance.

The proposed development would be contrary to:-
(a) the land use zoning on the Development Plan; and
(b) the policies of Planning Circular 1/88: Residential Development - Houses in the Countryside - a copy of which is enclosed herewith.

The Glen Rushen Road is unsuitable for increased usage.

If approved, this development would set a precedent for other similar unacceptable developments.
