**PA04/02315/R – Retrospective application for the widening of existing drive way, 7 Erin Way, Port Erin**

I refer to our letter dated 17 November 2004 regarding the above planning application.

The above mentioned application has been considered by the Network Planning Section and the following observations will be forwarded to the Planning Committee of the Department of Local Government and the Environment as the response of the Director of Highways on behalf of the DOT Highways Client Group.

I can now confirm that the response of the Highways Division of the Department of Transport is:

**No adverse traffic impacts, subject to the imposition of the following conditions:**

1. Sight splays (and vehicle footway crossing) shall be constructed in compliance with Manx Roads 2.

**Reason for conditions**

1. In the interests of road safety.

**NB 1** The applicant must obtain approval from the Operations Section of the Department of Transport before carrying out any work within the highway. Telephone 686665.
